Carolina Alamilla is an artist, educator, and curator whose creative practice is driven by color, pattern, and playfulness. She primarily works in clay, creating multiples inspired by her childhood in South Florida, with a focus on building environments rooted in vibrancy and whimsy. More recently, she has been incorporating found textiles into her work, transforming them into improvisational quilts.

Carolina recently completed an artist residency at Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh, where she explored delicate porcelain forms alongside bold, contrasting wallpaper designs.

She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics + Transmedia from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. 

Carolina is an Assistant Professor of Studio Art at Washington and Jefferson College.
